487 athletes from 30 countries have registered to compete for the 44 titles at stake in the Juniors and Under 23 Track European Championships, which will take place from 15 to 20 July 2025 at the Anadia High Performance Centre in Portugal. A well-established event in the continental calendar, it will once again bring together the best of European Youth cycling in an exceptional setting.
The Track European Championships for Juniors and Under-23s represent one of the key moments of the season for young Europeans, with athletes and national teams competing in a very high-level technical environment, with the aim of shaping the champions of tomorrow.
After the 2024 edition in Cottbus (Germany), where Great Britain topped the final medal table with 12 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze medals, ahead of Germany (7, 12, 3) and Italy (7, 7, 6), six days of great racing are expected in Anadia.
Enrico Della Casa, President of the Union Européenne de Cyclisme: "Anadia has become, to all intents and purposes, the home of Youth cycling in Europe. Not only for Track, but also Mountain Bike, BMX and Road cycling find a unique point of reference here. Our commitment to Youth cycling is at its highest level and this event is concrete proof of that.
The Anadia Centre is one of the continental satellites of the UCI's World Cycling Centre and represents excellence thanks to the foresight and work of the former President of the Portuguese Cycling Federation Artur Lopes, his successor Delmino Pereira, and local administrators, in particular Jorge Sampaio.
It will be, as always, a great event, thanks to the organisational leadership of the Portuguese Cycling Federation led by Candido Barbosa and his experienced team, to the warm welcome of the city of Anadia with its mayor Maria Teresa Cardoso, and of course to the extraordinary participation of the national teams, whom I would like to thank in particular for their massive participation".
