For the first time, the UEC BMX Freestyle Park and Flatland European Championships were held together, delivering a spectacular weekend at Area 51 in Eindhoven (Netherlands). The event was a great success, attracting a large and passionate crowd to witness the two most creative disciplines of BMX.
In the Park discipline, part of the Olympic programme, the men’s title went to British rider Dylan Hessey, who delivered an exceptional performance scored at 95.20. Croatian Marin Ranteš (93.35) took second place, while Nikita Fominov (89.60) completed the podium.
In the women’s category, German Kim Lea Müller claimed victory with 89.70 points, ahead of Hungarian Noémi Molnár (88.10) and British rider Sasha Pardoe (84.20).
The Flatland competition, a true showcase of balance and creativity, saw Dutch rider Sietse van Berkel triumph as European champion, ahead of Frenchman Alexandre Jumelin (84.33) and Spaniard Jorge Gomez Piernavieja (82.66).
In the women’s Flatland, Hungarian Anna Mondics (84.00) took the title, followed by her compatriot Veronika Kádár (78.66) and Spaniard Dasha Rabanete Solodovnikcova (64.33).
This Eindhoven event marks an important step in the development of BMX Freestyle in Europe, confirming the vitality and growing appeal of these disciplines to a young and enthusiastic audience.
