Switzerland's Sina Frei and Martin Stošek (Czechia) won the 2024 Gravel European Championships today in Asiago (Italy).
The experienced Swiss biker dominated the race, attacking on the second and final lap to make her way solo to the finish line, which she crossed beating the Italians Silvia Persico and Alice Maria Arzuffi.
In the men's race, Martin Stošek made the difference in the final lap by breaking away from the leading group he was part of. Behind Stošek, Toby Perry (Great Britain) and Jenno Berckmoes (Belgium) crossed the finish line and completed the podium.
Following the sudden death of a participant, Italian Silvano Janes (Masters 65-69 category), the Masters races that had not yet finished at the time of the incident were stopped and cancelled.
