Following the cancellation of the Track Elite European Championships initially planned from 23 to 27 June 2021, the Union Européenne de Cyclisme has rescheduled the event on the UCI calendar on the second week of October 2021 (to be confirmed from 5 or 6 to 9 or 10 October).
As the COVID health crisis is continuing, and above all due to the current procedures for travelling between various countries, moving the Championships to October will enable national teams to better manage transfers and give enough time for the new organiser to prepare the event properly.
Regarding the venue, the Union Européenne de Cyclisme is in contact with some National Federations to work out the best solution, which will be announced in the next few days.
